Special bonus picture

It's good to know that, even though it's been five or six years since the last time I actually bothered to watch the movie, I can still recite all the lines to Return of the Jedi.  Even the alien ones.

It's also good to know that I'm married to someone who thinks it's cute that his wife mumbles every fucking line half a second ahead of the movie.

I found this website the other day, and went hog-wild with the virtual furniture rearrangement.  It got so bad that at one point, I had my new Ikea catalog open in front of me, and I was entering the dimensions of various pieces of furniture (because they conveniently list all the measurements in the catalog) and creating my fantasy all-Ikea house.  Fortunately, it was like 1am by that time, so that insanity didn't last too long.

But it did prove to be quite a useful little application.  Especially on the inspiration front--I came up with a whole new, novel way to get the computers downstairs.  This time, it was a layout that looked like it would actually work.  And, since I have a multi-day weekend, I decided I would put my plan into effect.

Today, I spent my entire day schlepping furniture up and down the stairs.  Things like: one table, four chairs, two desks, one filing cabinet, two computers, one sewing machine, eight hundred seventy five thousand desk-top knickknacks, etc.  I had to stay home all day anyway, to wait for refrigerator news (delivery tomorrow between ten and two), so it was the perfect day to do it.

The result: the sewing/painting room (former office room) is still a mess, but the living room looks quite lovely.  And so far tonight, Shorn and I have watched a few hours of the Tick, plus Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and, now, Return of the Jedi--all while dicking around on the computers.  Oh! And all those glasses of booze that I've served up, without once having to traverse the staircase!  I love this arrangement.

This is such an awesome fucking movie.
