Rita Celestial has to deal with a trial tomorrow. As in something involving lawyers and a courthouse and legal implications.
I have to take a written test to see if I'm qualified to be a compliance inspector for the sewer district. (In case you were wondering, yes, I am seriously excited about this job. If I get hired, I'm officially changing my name to "Sewer Urchin.")
All I know is I've got things a lot easier than Rita Celestial. Good luck woman! Call me!
As for my day, I don't know what to expect from this test. Should I be cramming to review all the chemistry and math I've ever learned? Is this just to weed out the losers, like the test for my current job?
This is what I've done to prepare, so far:
-Spent the day shopping with my mom in Walnut Creek. Little boutitquey stores, and crepes! Oh yeah, there was a little Restoration Hardware and William Sonoma action going on too.
-Stared at an online periodic table for approximately three minutes, mumbling to myself: "Right, I remember chemistry, now."
-Found a working calculator to take with me.
-Changed my nail color from Soho (147)to Merlot (257).
In retrospect, Soho is probably more appropriate color.
Beyond that, I think I'm doing okay. I may turn out to be horribly unprepared, but I hope not.
My goal is to blaze through the test fast enough to go see Hero with Shorn and Liam. Cross your fingers for me.
