Well, we are home from the mountains. This time I have survived the transformation by immersing myself in German techno music and painting my nails. Hey, whatever works, right?
I have a job interview-thingy tomorrow. It's actually a tour of the 'facility', with the interview to follow on Wednesday. It's a nice job, but not and unbelievably incredibly awesome job, so I'm not getting myself worked up about it.
I will however, be hacking all my hair off for the occasion. If I can get an appointment at some local outrageously overpriced trendy hair-hacking establishment tomorrow. For now, we'll just say that it's on my to-do list--along with sleeping in, buying new tires for my car, going clothes shopping, hanging a bunch of pictures on the walls, playing on the computer, cleaning the bathroom, and (oh yeah) going to my job interview-thingy.
If all goes well, I'll get at least three of those things done, and still be perky by 4:30 (Yeah, I am actually perky sometimes, although it's usually only around strangers. I'm not quite sure what this says about me.)
I've been thinking (for about eight hours, now) about a new story to write. I've wanted to resurrect Iona, my doomed NaNoWriMo story, but I've come to the conclusion that that's not going to happen. That story was a product of it's time, and a lot has changed since last November--at least inside my head. Best case scenario is that the good parts of that story survive and are reborn in a new story. Because I have a new story in my head, and I'm feeling like I want to write again.
Figures that I would find inspiration mere weeks after realizing that my wrists no longer hurt.
