And in local news, Irish Rat Charmer "Shorn" celebrated his 35th birthday today.
He spent the evening relaxing at home with his wife, who presented him with a very peaty bottle of Scotch, a semi-traditional Irish dinner (corned beef with coleslaw and french fries) and a desert of bread pudding (only because she didn't have time to make a plum duff.)
He happily reports that the Scotch is "good", the dinner and desert were "good", and, so far, being 35 is "good".
