    Today was Ren Faire day (got in on the very last day), and a day of firsts for me.  For example: the first time I had a Ren Faire artichoke, instead of some sort of slab of meat.  Also, I got my first ever henna tattoo (pretty, pretty me.)  And, I bought my first ever incense censer and charcoal for burning loose incense.  I am burning sandalwood and copal as I type.  It is fun to have all the incense paraphernalia--all the little bowls and bottles and censer and sand and charcoal.  And I like being able to stop and throw incense on the burner every few minutes.  I feel I have taken my first step into a larger world :)
